
In an escalation of the Mohua Moitra “cash-for-query” controversy, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has written to the Lokpal and sought an investigation into the Trinamool Congress MP’s actions.
In his grievance to the anti-corruption authority, Mr Dubey has mentioned he’s in possession of a letter by Supreme Court docket lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai which laid out “disturbing info with detailed proof” towards Ms Moitra.
“Within the letter, Mr. Dehadrai supplies in nice element how, when and the place Ms. Moitra obtained bribes from a businessman Sh. Darshan Hiraanandani. The mentioned letter clearly mentions how Ms. Mahua Moitra has obtained Rs 2 crore in money from Darshan Hiranandani each in Indian forex and overseas forex for asking questions in parliament,” the grievance states.
