One of many Site visitors Police’s choppers (Pegasus) used to catch drivers committing infractions crash landed over within the province of Almería yesterday.
The crash website was close to Cortijo Blanco (La Mojonera), which is about half solution to town of Almería from the Granada Province limits.
The accident occurred round 12.40h close to the A-7 autovía. After receiving an alert, 112 despatched the Guardia Civil, Policía Nacional, fireplace service and an ambulance.
Luckily, just one individual onboard required medical help as he was groggy from the affect, which is hardly stunning given the circumstances.
The accident occurred because the plane was taking off after the tail rotor blades hit the branches of a close-by tree – a gust had displaced the helicopter in the direction of the bushes, in keeping with the Provincial Head of the Almería Site visitors Division, José María Méndez.
The Pegasus helicopter, which is predicated within the Centro de Gestión del Tráfico de Málaga, was despatched to regulate the site visitors produced by a music competition, Dreambeach Villaricos, which was being held in Cuevas del Almanzora.
