Whereas there was some rain early on in Mallorca in Sunday, issues have been usually fairly calm. This was earlier than a storm all of the sudden hit. Heavy rain and hail have been accompanied by robust gusts of wind. Within the north of the island, round 11.15, the storm appeared to emerge from nowhere – the sky went darker, and the rain was virtually horizontal.
Varied components of the island have been affected. In Palma and components of Calvia, there was flooding. Timber have been introduced down. From Valldemossa within the Tramuntana throughout to Colonia Sant Jordi within the southeast there have been incidents. In Puerto Soller, virtually 60 litres of rain per sq. metre fell by 11.30.

The amber alert for heavy rain and thunderstorms (relevant to the entire of Mallorca) has been prolonged till midnight Sunday.
