N.S. man driving garden tractor killed after being hit by automotive crossing roadway – Halifax


A Nova Scotia man has died after he was hit by a automotive whereas driving a garden tractor.

In a launch, the RCMP mentioned emergency personnel responded to the crash on Masstown Street in Debert shortly after 5 p.m.  Sunday.

“RCMP officers discovered {that a} man, working a garden tractor, was crossing the roadway when he was struck by a Chevrolet Cruze travelling on the roadway,” the discharge mentioned.

It mentioned the operator of the garden tractor, a 64-year-old man from Debert, was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The 60-year-old lady driving the sedan was not injured, it mentioned.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and Masstown Street was closed for a number of hours, however has since reopened.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
